Marriage is the unification of
two opposite sex with the understanding of what there are going into. There are
a lot of things that makes marriage enjoyable, fun, marriage is like a strawberry
ice cream that has ingredients that makes it sweet so as to give every
individual the pleasure of taking it, in marriage husbands and wives are
expected to know the secret ingredients that makes marriage fun and enjoyable, marriage
is not called marriage for the name sake but an ingredients that spice up life
and not a thing one go into for the reason of bringing forth their own kind
that will continue the course of their family lineage only.
The reason why most men or women will
likely remain a bachelor or a spinster is very simple, they are scared of
marriage because they see it as a thing next to death, I don’t blame them, they
have the right to be scared or skeptical but living in the nest of fear is not
a good idea come out of that nest as a man and take the bold step. I guess you have
read our previous post, if you haven’t, read it here
because those posts are set to prepare you for this stage, so it is highly
recommended that you read the previous post, if you continue with us without reading
the previous I will presume that you have read and understood our previous
discussion, then let continue.
Marriage means Mates that Appreciates,
Respect and Reciprocates the good act of each other that Ignores flaws in
order to inspire and Admire their union with a burning Affection toward
building the God kind of home of Excellence, with this explanation I believe every
married couples or those who are about to marry will know that becoming a wife
or husband go beyond honey and sweetie thing, both of them will have to learn
how to appreciate if they have not been taught in their youthful days before
wearing the white and the suit, because
the two cloths symbolizes understanding, respect, reciprocation of good act
that ignores the flaws of each other.
There is a lot of issues that may
likely show up in marriages and this kind of issues can be averted before they
comes up, that is why such issues should be trashed out before marriage holds because
it has made a lot of marriages crumble so it will be wise if resolved before
the wedding and the host of others because what Mr. A will ignore that Mr. B might
not be able to ignore, so bringing these issues on limelight will save
hundreds, I know you might be wondering what will be this strong to stop the
water that enable the flower of marriage blossom, these are the issues we will
discuss right away.
NAGGING: some people are very annoying when it comes to complains,
such people don’t see anything good in what others do, they either complain of red,
black or green they are insatiable, they don’t appreciate what they have, that
is the kind of people that makes their partner never want to see them, that is
why you sometime see a married man out with his friends at one bar or the
other, the way to stay away from house worrisome. If such issue is not trash
out on time it may lead to the situation where the man will cheat on his wife
because of the incongruous attitude of his wife, though it might not be his
general idea as friends can persuade him to do it just to find happiness or fulfillment
outside his matrimonial home and vow.
MANNERS:
some women are saucy to the extent of not having regards for men either because
of their education or family background forgetting the fact that they will
someday leave their family to establish their own family, if a girl can open
her mouth to call anyone a useless man, then such girl will grow up to be a
woman without manner, any marriage that a man or woman will enjoy is a marriage
that makes respect a watch word, if a man marries manner less and ruthless
woman then he is in trouble, absence of manner in a marriage can poised any man
to look out for another woman thereby cheating on his wife and such can lead to
a divorce, as a woman you must learn manners to stay in a husband’s house.
UNFAITHFULNESS: in a relationship that faithfulness is elusive hardly
stands and if by the grace of God it does, it is advisable that both partner
stops such act to avoid it detriment because it can affect marriage in the future
by destroying the bridge of trust that both partner have struggled to build, it
hurt to see a person that you have faith in betrays you, backstab you, so as a
woman or a man whatever you know will affect your marriage negatively stay away
from it because it can result to unpleasant situation in the future.
FAMILY’S NAME: I wanted to make an exception for this but after
giving it a thought I decide to bring it up, what has family got to do with or
in the issue of marriage, it is very important that we discuss it and as a
matter of fact, it is an issue that must be discussed. I am not here to tell
you to take everything that I will say from this but I will tell you to ponder
on whatever you see here and take the ones you feel is best applicable to you,
this topic is very important and should be discussed in every marriage
committee irrespective of whom it may concern.
I wonder what is becoming of our
era, marriage as it were is a practice of a man and a woman coming together in
unity one in voice to say this is the woman or man I wish to spend the rest of
my life with and then the bride father ask his daughter some questions after
which they conduct the marriage and every other rites follows before the stage
the bride father will say to the woman, “woman this is your husband, henceforth
you belong to this family”, and the next time you address such woman or lady by
her father’s name, she will personally ask you to stop calling her that name
and call her by her husband’s name where it may apply, so I don’t understand
this practice I don’t seem to understand it, is it a tradition or religious
thing, or is it a must or not a woman must change her surname to bear the
husband’s surname or is it selective?
If it is not a must why then do
our parents toed that path or were they ignorant of it, are we now wise and
civilize that we have to throw away what our fathers believe to be the pride of
any man, if the woman must keep her surname what is the reason of leaving her
family to join another family, why should a man pay her bride price if she is
to continue answering the father’s name, I guess these are the questions that
we need to ask to know wish is more important, her father’s name or the
marriage?
I don’t want anybody to see or
think what is important as everybody cannot be the same, my advice to any man
or woman is to talk things over before marrying, if a man knows that he cannot
take it, he should tell his spouse from the onset, he should go like honey, I
love and cherish you above all things, you are the light that light up my dark
path, you are the one that makes my world go round, you have the best thing
that has ever happen to me but there is something I want both of us to trash
out, I am a man that believes in reciprocating regards and respect and one of
the thing I don’t like is to see my wife answering her father’s name, I want
you to know that any woman I must marry will answer my name and not her
father’s name, tell her what you know
and believe and don’t allow anybody to talk you into accepting what you do not
want that might become a topic of discussion for everybody, know this, most men
believes that their pride is seeing their wife answering their name and not her
father’s name.
But before taking any action
sleep over it if possible then call a meeting and have a table talk as to-be
couples, come to a concluding agreement, understanding matters when it come to
this kind of issues, who is to let go of family egoism, family importance, who
should submit to the other irrespective of social or family background, I come
again this issue should be discussed before thinking of preparing for marriage,
both should have resolve within them what to do before the alter things should
come to mind, this is a must do because marriages have crumbled for this little
but important issue, do the right thing as a woman or a man and know what you
need in your life as a woman, your family’s name or your own family.
