I want to formally welcome you to
this new month of great opportunities, as much as I will love to shower prayers
and praises on you and your family same manner I will also want us to concentrate
on why we are here. thank you for opening the door this day as we are about to
discuss an issue that some bachelor and spinster has swept under their chairs
and beds, this new month opens the door of a different issues for us and these
issues has been outlined for the benefit of everyone, these same issues will be
discussed on daily basis before this month runs out so we implore you to always
stop by so that you don’t miss anything. It is time for us to pull the take off
button so that we can make proper and judicious use of our time, I will advise
you to read our previous post here
if you haven’t read it but if you have read and understood our previous discussion
then let’s go to the table of discussion.
Pride comes before fall because it is the neighbor of fall, they share a common boundary, if you want to
fail in anything you do don’t practice humility, if you want to be left to
yourself don’t be humid, parade yourself and act like you own the world and you
will see yourself making up with the dust of poverty. Nobody is supreme except
the creator of the world so it perplex me the way young girls carry themselves
like queens when they are not even up to a palace maidservant, no matter how
expensive your dress is, you are still a dust, I wonder why we human don’t seem
to understand that fact and let go the ego that is fighting us in disguise.
Pride is a “well” that one can
hardly come out from except with the help of a good Samaritan, pride is deep in
itself, it corrupt the mind, it makes one feel that nobody is up to his
standard, it is the element that makes one feel that everyone should bow to his
or her supremacy because they see themselves on top of the world, what is the
use of seeing yourself above others, is it because you are rich, is it because
your father is a Governor, Senator, President, what is the big deal, in case you
have forgotten your father is not the first person to be in that position a lot
of people have occupied that position before your father.
Some people wished they could turn
the hand of clock, but it is unfortunate that they can’t because a particular event
comes once in a life time, if you do not make proper and judicious use of that
time when it comes, it becomes history that you can only make reference to but
cannot behold, what is pride anyway, pride is one’s over confidence that makes
him or her think that they are superior to others acting like they can or have done
everything without anyone assistance.
No good comes from pride, pride is
out to destroy, so I will advise you to live simple so that the right person
will come into your life, stop looking down on people because you do not know
what tomorrow holds for anybody, the truck pusher you see today might become
the rich man, the street boy you see today might be the next manager in a
renown company, take everyone as one, treat everyone with kindness, selection
will only leave you to yourself at the market of choice, use your heart and not
your head, follow your heart because you are not God.
Nothing will change whom you are if
you chose to be humble, nobody will call you a different name from yours if you
chose to follow the footprint of Christ, as person, if you are not respectful
you are bound to become a problem to your innocent spouse that is if you are
opportune to have, pull the gown of pride from your total being and experience peace
of true friendship, pride is a Load if you must know.
